Surrender Your Dorothy Photos
Different Places Productions is working on a documentary project about the iconic character of Dorothy Gale across the many adaptations of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. We would love to include YOU, the heart of our Oz community.
We would love to feature photos of you as Dorothy. Whether you've dressed as her as a child or embraced your inner Kansas native as an adult, we want to showcase the diverse and devoted faces of our Oz family. If you have never worn those slippers, but you have dressed up as one of her many friends, we’d love to see those pictures as well. All Ozians are welcome!
Your images might become a beautiful part of our documentary, highlighting the timeless connection we all share.
Here's how you can participate:
Dig into your photo albums (or scroll through your digital archives) to find those precious Dorothy moments.
Select your favorite photo(s) and send them to Dorothy@different-places.com by January, 31st 2024.
(Optional) Include a brief caption sharing any special memories or why dressing as Dorothy holds a special place in your heart.
(Bonus) - Video footage is a plus. Did you perform in your school play? Did Santa bring you something from Oz? Did you receive something special for your birthday? If there was a particularly poignant Oz moment from your childhood that you have captured, we’d love to see it.
The selected photo contributors will be notified for official usage permission, please include your contact information in your email. If you have something and aren’t sure how to get it to us, don’t hesitate to send us an email and we can help you find a way.
